Home sweet home!
Last year 2017, around the month of April, we moved away for five months.. not on a vacation.. but due to a planned house renovation... we moved and finally.. moved back home. We lived in this house since 2009.. when I was still pregnant with my youngest baby.. However, we decided to have the house extended to suit our family's need.
Actually, we live in a country where it is financially challenging to buy or build your own home. We have to save every centavo we can because this money is in reality hard earned... in exchanged with many months of separation and hard work by my husband.
Meantime, my husband and I had been brainstorming whether to give a green light for the renovation or wait for the perfect time instead. With much discussions going on between us through text messages, chat messages, emails and videos, we finally met on a level and pushed the green light.
During this process of rebuilding our home we learned these four P's...
...
Pray - we prayed for
divine wisdom whether we will start this new project which consists of too much
preparations along the way. Just the same, we were blessed with a very efficient
engineer that will oversee the house project from start to finish.
...
Prepare - we had a transparency of all our finances. I had
prepared a simple financial report so that we can check how much money we have
to finance this project so that we can decide whether we can finish this
project without going on knee-deep debts...Philippians 4:19 And my God
will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
...
Plan - we plan, from the start, we had given our inputs on
how we want our house to be finished. To be a comfy home for our family and not
just a plain structure but a place that
will suit all our everyday activities...
and memories to be created for years beyond.
...
Plunge into action -demolition starts and rebuilding pressed
on.. we had minor disagreements but managed to meet on certain level.. day after day, the
pieces of hollow blocks were mixed with pebbles and slowly the structure of the house was gradually
coming to form, and finally we reached the finishing touches..
Slowly, as every tiny bits and pieces had been placed to its
proper position, , finally, we are back home by His grace...hence we give back
all our honor and praises to Him...
Home sweet home, a blessing indeed!
2 Corinthians 9:15 Thanks be to God for his
indescribable gift!
